Scolari says Lamps stays; Lamps not so sure

Luiz Felipe Scolari rolled the out the broken English -- I actually thought he was fairly decent -- today, and other than calling his management "so-so," his most glaring contribution to the press conference was his comments regarding Frank Lampard. Uncle Phil said he had spoken with Franky and that he was under the impression that Lamps would remain at Chelsea for "many years."

Not so fast.

Later today, Sky Sports spoke with Lampard's agent, Steve Kutner, and he had some more of the same from the Lampard camp.

"I would just like to make the position clear," Kutner told Sky Sports News. "Felipe had a very amicable chat with Frank who told him he always envisaged ending his playing career at Chelsea Football Club.

"He also told him that unfortunately the terms for a new contract cannot be agreed with the board despite discussions having been ongoing for over two years. This, coupled with everything that happened to Frank at the end of last season, means his position remains completely unresolved."

Doesn't sound too promising does it? Throw in the fact that Chelsea supposedly rejected a bid from Inter Milan as well, and this whole ordeal seems far from over.
