So Ancelotti's not joining Chelsea

This is weird-- and Sky has some explaining to do. After this morning's reports, revealing that AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti's representatives had reached an agreement with Chelsea, we now have been told that's a load of crock.

The Milan club released a statement denying the rumor. Ancelotti spoke out as well.

"I'm staying at AC Milan for sure, and for many seasons to come," the coach said. "I've not spoken to anyone at Chelsea; any other reports are football talk and pure speculation."

Even the Blues denied any approach for Ancelotti.

A statement on the club's website reads: "Contrary to reports Chelsea Football Club has not reached agreement with any individual to become manager, nor have we sought permission from any organisation to talk to their manager. We are extremely happy how our search is progressing."

OK. There's only one logical explanation for all this. Ancelotti's joining before the end of the week.
