Rumors 6.2: New Lamps Offer

Big Phil at the top of the list
Several outlets, including the Guardian and the Times, now see Portugal manager Luiz Felipe Scolari as the top candidate to take over at Stamford Bridge next season. Rijkaard and Mark Hughes apparently join him on a three-man shortlist. If Scolari is indeed the man, he likely won't sign until after Euro 2008. Does this throw possible transfers moves under the bus? Just a question.

Chelsea offer Frank Lampard £130K per week
John Cross over at the Mirror drops some "exclusive" ish for the new week, reporting that Chelsea have tabled a new offer to Lamps in the form of a cool 130,000 per semana over three years. This would put him on par with EBJT as the club's top earner, though JT's deal is longer. Will he stay or join Mourinho at Inter? Only time will tell.

Pompey after Sahar
The Lancashire Post is hot on the heels of news regarding Chelsea youngster Ben Sahar. The outlet says Harry Redknapp is keen on signing the Israeli, on loan with a view to a permanent deal. Shady news if you ask me.

Sparky joining Man City?
That's the case if The Daily Mail are to be believed. The paper says Blackburn has "reluctantly agreed" to allow Mark Hughes to leave and join Thaskin's revolution at Manchester City. They say a formal announcement could be made as early as Thursday. If this is true, it would knock a name of Chelsea's manager list as Hughes is widely-considered among the top 3-4 choices for the position at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho to grab The Bison
Once announced Inter Milan boss, The Special One will be given the sum of 100mil to throw around. His top priority is inking Michael Essien, according to The Sun. He'll follow that up with moves for Drogba and Lampard. This is beat street.
