Transfer news: The Voyeur really likes Kalou, eh?

I had heard over the summer that Arsene made a cheeky inquiry into the availability of Chelsea's first bi-polar footballer, Salomon Kalou. I laughed it off, then began to think.

Maybe The Professor is, in fact, an intelligent man attempting to sway Uncle Phil into keeping Kalou and all his erraticness. Cheeky boy that Wenger.

Now, however, it looks as if Wenger might have actually been serious. The Telegraph reports Arsenal might be wiling to cough up as much as 11mil to bring the 23-year-old Ivorian to the Emirates.

I know, I know. You're saying sell before you even read this. And I would be with you -- if it wasn't Arsenal.

We can't sell to The Voyeur can we? If anyone could perform an exorcism on Kalou it's Wenger. Trust me when I say the kid would probably net 20-plus next season if we shipped him to Arsenal. I say hold out, and move him to Germany or Russian or Botswana. Just nowhere in England -- unless we're talking Exeter.

Sa-lid
Current Sparta Braga and Portugal Under-21 striker Orlando Sa has been training with the club this week.

From what I've read the Blues have tabled a 3.4mil euro offer for the 20-year-old who scored a hat trick in a friendly against Spain last month, but Sparta is seeking 4.

I tracked this story a month or two ago, but wasn't really sure what to make of it. I still don't. Anyway, below are highlights of his three-goal performance against Espana.

More young'ns
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea is poised lengthen the list of Portugese at the club, again, with the signing of Toni Brito from Benfica. Brito, 15, has been offered a six-year deal says Sky. Benfica want to keep him, but the kid wants to dawn blue instead of red.

"I have decided to go to England," he told Ojogo. "It will be a dream to play for a club like Chelsea."
