Aston Villa 2-0 Chelsea

tourdefrance-017.jpg

Credit to Villa, credit to Zat Knight who last week scored an own goal whilst playing for Fulham and being a Holte End boy scores the opener for Villa this afternoon two minutes into the second half on his debut.

Credit to Martin O'Neill who continued to encourage his Villa youngsters and who was rewarded with a second goal minutes from full time from Agbonlahor after Chelsea's new signing Belletti was 'skinned' for the first time by another of O'Neill's youngsters Luke Moore.

Other than that what can I say? Chelsea was the dominate team. Chelsea played to make Villa the away side although they were at home. Chelsea's problem with all their possession, they forgot that possession means nothing if they can't produce their chances in front of goal and convert them.

Lets be fair Villa's goalkeeper could have had his hammock out and numerous pots of tea to drink compared to the amount of work he had to put in. I cannot remember one decent save Carson had to make, despite Chelsea's dominating possession stats.

There are observations which have to be made to make this review more objective than sound like a bowl of sour cream.

First Chelsea was s**t in front of Carson's goal and Jose made the mistake of substituting Shaunie boy who was far our best player instead of Malouda who was far far our worst.

Lets not forget the changes that Jose made last season at Tottenham when he f**cked about with first of all bringing on Boulahrouz for Ferriera at half-time and then bringing off Boulahrouz once we went 2-1 down. Either it works for Jose or it doesn't. Like today and that Tottenham game it didn't!!!

Last week against Pompey, Dids produced a master flick to lay on the goal that Frank scored to win the game 1-0. With all the flicks and tricks that Dids tried to pull off today did someone forget to tell him that Frank was out injured and not playing?!!!!!

Now for the next few days I am on me toes and taking my beautiful wife away and I will leave you on this note...... After the game last week against Portsmouth Jose moaned that he didn't have time to prepare his team because of the International break, well he had a full week to prepare for today's game and despite Frank's injury on Friday there was enough quality to get at least a point this afternoon.

So do we take it that after a two week break, as Jose won't have enough time to prepare a team, tactics etc etc, we can beat Blackburn??? Thank God its a 5.15pm kick off (UK time).

And Thank God I have been a Chelsea fan SINCE 66 - the stuff I have been reading so far ain't worth the keyboard's that it's being written on!!!

Get a life or go and support Man Utd!!!
