Well there ain't no surprise in Johnson leaving Chelsea. Once Belletti's signature ink had dried on the contract, it was always going to be Glenno leaving the club for one reason and one reason only - he wasn't a Mourinho signing!
Johnson spent all of last season on loan to Portsmouth and today Portsmouth has spent £4m on the young right-back. Good business for a player who really hasn't featured under Mourinho since Ranieri signed him four years ago for £6.5m and I am sure all Chelsea fans will wish him well for the future.
Another player on his toes, this time on a month's loan, is 17 year old centre-half Harry Worley who goes to Carlisle United. Blimey a month - it will take that long to get there.
Last Saturday the Academy won their first game of the season beating Southampton at Cobham 4-1. According to reports the youngsters put on a wonderful display and scored all four goals in an incredible first half. Man of the Match Miroslav Stoch scored two, Carl Magnay and new signing Daniel Philliskirk got the other two.
On Wednesday night the Reserves travelled down to Portsmouth in their first game of the season and beat their hosts Portsmouth, 4-0. I wanted to blog this game but with all the sadness about footballers deaths and collapses - I didn't bother.
Chelsea won 4-0 with goals from Sam Hutchinson, a trademark Scott Sinclair goal after a 60 yard run, Morten Nielsen and Miroslav Stoch who scored Chelsea's fourth deep into second-half injury time.
