For everybody else that says ' Work sucks' I am there.

I really wanted to watch the Chelsea Player of the Year awards tonight LIVE on Chelsea TV, but every time I make a plan or two, something else comes up and my plans get disrupted...... trust me this isn't the first time and disrupted plans are not exclusive to commitments at work believe me!!!

Anyway I am writing approximately 90 mins after getting in from work - a 13 1/2 hour day and facing an early start in the morning, but I am determined, before I retire to bring you news of the Chelsea Player of the Year awards held in Battersea, South West London tonight.

Firstly the Player of the Year Award, as voted by the fans went to MICHAEL ESSIEN - great choice and my Player of the Year.

Michael also won the Fans Goal of the Season for his goal against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. Poor old Dids. Came up with a couple of stunners himself, Liverpool (H) and Everton (A), but at least he won the Golden Boot for being the Premiership's top League Scorer.

John Obi Mikel won the Young Player of the Year Award.

Ben Sahar won the Young Talent Award.

Didier Drogba, a huge favourite alongside Ricardo Carvalho for the Player of the Year (as called by your truly), won the Player's Player of the Year.

And lastly Petr Cech won a new award for Outstanding Acheivement for his remarkable comeback after that horrific injury back in October at Reading.
