COME ON CHELSEA!!!!

championsleague301002.jpg

Two years ago almost to the day, Chelsea travelled to Anfield for the 2nd Leg of the Champions League Semi-Final and lost 1-0 (and we all know where that 'goal' came from). Chelsea went to Anfield that evening as CHAMPIONS for the first time in 50 years after beating Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok 2-0, with a superb double from Frank Lampard.

Two years on, Chelsea played Bolton at Stamford Bridge last weekend and the game ended 2-2 and Frank didn't score. In a couple of hours time Chelsea take to the field to do battle with Liverpool THIS time leading 1-0.

Can you see where I am coming from?!?!

If as a Chelsea fan you are looking for inspiration or divine intervention then look no further, just look above and re-read.

Everything that happened two years ago has happened again, but only in reverse. As in a very delayed Groundhog Day... very delayed.

But lets be honest. We are going to need more than a fictional reverse to help us through to the Champions League final in Athens in three weeks time. No Carvalho, no Ballack and no Shevchenko.

JT needs to take care of Crouch and Essien to take care of Kuyt. Not the other way round as per the League game at Anfield in January although it was Ferriera and Essein as the centre pairing.

JT needs to win the toss and get Liverpool attacking the Kop like they did two years ago, and do to them what Tottenham do to us when they can and get us to attack the MH stand in the first-half when they visit Stamford Bridge.

Its been a strange day. Lots of people who support other teams have rung me, emailed me or said to me "Beat the Scousers, I hate the Scousers." Well so do we and its great that even one friend said the 'UK will be supporting you tonight.' That remark did make me laugh through my nervous sickness I have been suffering all day.

Especially considering most of the Country want ManUre to win the title - to which I concede and they are very worthy champions.
