ot-semifinal-005.jpg

FINAL SCORE: CHELSEA 1-2 ASTON VILLA

COME ON CHELSEA

2 mins of injury time called

Villa sub: Collins off, Roome on

2mins to go with about 2 extra mins

87mins: But no final product. Villa defending very deep - just like parking the bus

86mins: Lots of Chelsea pressure

82mins: Sahar goes close. Took a deflection and Henderson was lucky to clear with his legs

79mins: Danny Earls on for Nathan Delfouneso for Aston Villa

76mins: Still 2-1

75mins: Like the first team I reckon these 'kids' are going for the last 10 minute victory

70mins: Villa have just had their best moments of possession.

68mins: Villa's Lowry booked for a crude challenge on Cummings on Chelsea's right. Free kick comes to nothing. Lots of Chelsea possession but not a lot else!!

67mins: Still lots of Chelsea pressure

64mins: Villa sub, Jago Bellon off for Damon Bellon

Chelsea sub and last: Lee Sawyer off, Sergio Tejera on

60mins: Terrific break from Chelsea, lovely pass from Stoch to Scottie through Villa's middle but Scott sends it over the bar

56mins: Pressure is all Chelsea's

53mins: Sahar takes a ball down Drogba style turns towo and three Villa defenders inside out and then hit a 20 yarder which went just over the bar.

47mins: After a bright Chelsea start to the 2nd half. Rhys Taylor completely slices a back pass and after a cross, Villa's Bannon dives in to head a cross. 2-1 Villa and then straight from the ko. Sinclair raids downs Villa's right and Henderson flies out to save the cross shot.

Chelsea subs: Woods and Cork on, Younghusband and Elmer off

SECOND HALF kicks off

HALF-TIME: CHELSEA 1-1 ASTON VILLA

43mins: Goal from Chelsea's Lee Sawyer. Great build up. Good cross from Elmer and Sawyer was there to tap in past Henderson

40mins: Lots of good Chelsea probing of the Villa defence, but without reward. Chelsea have had three 0-0's and a 2-0 loss in their last four games.

34mins: Very good save from Henderson from a Younghusband shot after a good cross from Elmer. Corner comes to nothing.

32mins: Great to see Scott and Adrian back in the Blue.

29mins: Sahar is definitely not on his game. Tried a backflick but went straight to a Villa player.

26mins: Scott Sinclair is desperate on Chelsea's left to emulate his goals for Plymouth. But he can't get his feet to work. His experience at Plymouth will do him the world of good.

24mins: Fine play from Chelsea. Interchange between Younghusband, Elmer and Sinclair sees Sinclair turn his man and with his right foot caress a shot past the far post.

21mins: Now we have entered the quiet stage.

18mins: Good pressure from Chelsea. Sinclair, Sawyer and Bridcutt testing the Villa defence. Still 0-1.

15mins: Sawyer fouled by Clark (booked). From the free-kick, thirty yards out Younghusband steers one past the post with Henderson scrambling across his line.

12mins: After neat play between Elmer and Sinclair, Elmer whips in a cross and Sahar should have done better than to shoot past the post. A min later Lee Sawyer had a shot from 20 yards which was comfortably saved by Henderson.

11mins: Sahar caught just offside. Villa's Chris Herd fires a tame shot at Taylor.

10mins: Still 0-1 after a strong Chelsea start.

7mins: Bridcutt booked for a foul. Free-kick in a dangerous position. Kick deflected away for a goal kick.

5mins: Just on five minutes, a cross from Villa's right - Shaun Cummings deceived from the flight of the ball and the Villa forward puts it in. Unfortunately coverage hasn't confirmed the goalscorer.

3mins: Already Chelsea have had two chances first from Ben Sahar and then from a Scott Sinclair free-kick. Both went wide
