Sheff Utd Preview

sufc.jpg

I have got alot of time for Sheffield Utd's manager Neil Warnock. He talks from the hip, says what he means and doesn't care if he upsets the establishment. Interesting though if the same words came out of Jose mouth's, Jose would be hung, drawn and quartered and no doubt banished to the Isle of Elba to join Napoleon... get my drift??

Chelsea go on the road for the second time in a space of a few days and its the second of four successive away trips. Two more to come: Barcelona on Tuesday night and then Tottenham Hotspur (Three Point Lane) a week on Sunday.

Great news is that Carlo has travelled with the squad whether he plays remains to be seen. Hilario has been magnifcient although to be fair he hasn't been really tested, not even by the might of Barcelona. If Jose has Carlo in mind to return for the Barca game on Tuesday, I reckon Carlo will play tomorrow. With Jose you never ever can tell.

Expect The Shev to return to the team along with Carvalho. Makelele who played on Tuesday could well be rested with the Barcelona game in mind and it is a possibility that both Joe Cole and Robben could both play tomorrow with Essien in Makelele's defensive role.

Sheff Utd don't appear to have any serious injury worries although preparations to face the Champions has been hamepered with the news that two players in the squad have been squaring up to each other with one player pulling a cut-throat razor blade on the other. Now I know the players identity, but just to be on the safe side I will allow you to find out their names.

The last time these two teams met was at Stamford Bridge way back in 1994 (last day of the season) where Sheff Utd travelled to Stamford Bridge looking for a result better than a defeat to save themselves from relegation.

I remember thousands and thousands of Utd supporters made the long journey South in party spirit and in fancy dress too. The result? Chelsea won 3-2 and Sheff Utd DID get relegated. Chelsea striker Mark Stein scored two very very late goals.
