Chelsea v Barcelona is FINALLY Here!

chevliv-006.jpg When the Champions League draw was made back in August and Chelsea and Barcelona were paired together in Group A, my first reaction was 'Oh God, not again.!!'

After a couple of days I started to think about all the different scenarios and possible outcomes, playing Barcelona twice in the space of thirteen isn't that bad. Well at least we are not competing against each other in the knockout stage.

THE FINAL WILL DO!!!

I am not saying the Chelsea cannot beat Barcelona of course Chelsea can, but in this group situation Chelsea DO NOT have to. Chelsea sit top of Group A and have a two point lead over Barcelona who are in second place.

Chelsea can go to Werder Bremen and get at least a draw and with Levski Sofia to come to Stamford Bridge in December, Chelsea can beat them and still end up with ten points.

I believed then and I still do that the likeliest outcomes are both games will end in draws.

And this despite the fact that after Saturday's match at Reading and the horrendous incidents involving Petr and Carlo, Chelsea will be reliant on third choice Goalkeeper, Henrique Hilario.

I have no fear of Hilario taking his place in goal. If Hilario is good enough for Jose then Hilario is good enough for me. With the backing of the fans, Hilario SHOULD have a night to remember and hopefully for all the RIGHT reasons!

As you can see in the picture above. I have two tickets for the game but I am not going.

My son is and so is my daughter. The reason my daughter is going is because she is 21 next week and the ticket for this match (given up by yours truly) forms part of her birthday present and celebration. Plus I couldn't afford the price of a third ticket.

I have told the pair of them unless they have 'lost' their voices from cheering the boys on, then not to bother coming home LOL LOL!! (only joking).

COME ON CHELSEA!
