Brazilian side Flamengo are looking for reinforcements in attack to try to improve on their third place finish in the Brasileirão last season and, having failed with their first two targets, Marinho and Cecílio Dominguez, have supposedly made “preliminary contact” with Chelsea over a potential loan for Kenedy.

ESPN’s report does claim that this potential deal will not be easy as Kenedy’s camp are confident that the youngster can convince Conte of his worth during January. While that could indeed happen, Kenedy’s work permit also means that it would be silly to send him back to Brazil — especially to the arch-rivals of his old team, Fluminense — if we are to loan him out again.
The 20-year-old impressed in a few bright moments for Chelsea last season before wasting six months of his career on a loan at Watford in the first half of this season. Whatever happens in the second half of the season has to be an improvement on that.
