Reports in the Dutch media today are claiming that Vitesse aren't done with Chelsea after the capture of Cristian Cuevas, and that Lucas Piazon is also in very advanced talks for a move. Here's what De Telegraaf had to say:
Vitesse has loaned for the coming season Patrick van Aanholt (22) and Frenchman Gael Kakuta (22), two players from Chelsea. With the addition of the Chilean midfielder Cristian Cuevas (18) and the Brazilian striker Lucas Piazón (19), the number of mercenaries doubled from London. Piazón, who also has an Italian passport, has earlier this week had a tour of technical manager Ted van Leeuwen at Vitesse in silence. The player expressed while watching the twinkling training accommodation and the rest of the club excited.
With Cuevas already in the bag, the news that Piazon has been touring the club's facilities and is reportedly impressed would indicate his move is close as well. Unlike Cuevas, Piazon already possesses the necessary paperwork to play in the Eredivisie. It's unlikely that a move will be completed in time that we'd see him in action tomorrow, but I'd imagine he'll walk into the starting lineup when eligible.
If you didn't watch Vitesse regularly before, this season they're going to be absolutely must watch stuff. With (probably) four Chelsea players polishing their game at the club, our future is really going to be in their hands.
