It's not DIEGO COSTA TO BAYERN MUNICH level interesting, but this transfer morsel does have the twin benefits of being both a) plausible and b) not a typo, so we'll forgive the Evening Standard for not covering it with bells and whistles. Simon Johnson is claiming that Chelsea and Middlesbrough have agreed a deal to send both Nathan Ake and Tomas Kalas to Teesside on loan for next season.
This isn't the first time we've seen Kalas and Ake linked to a Boro loan this summer (for Ake in particular there doesn't seem to be much change from the last time the subject was discussed), but in this case I'd say that the rumour having survived a few weeks and still wandering on is a pretty good sign that it might get done. Kalas has already been a success up there, and after the Patrick Bamford Experience I'd imagine Aitor Karanka is quite keen on having more of our kids around.
Anyway. Loans. Or I guess potential loans. You are all really excited, I can tell.
