Juan Mata named deadliest free-kick taker in the last 14 years of the Premier League.

No seriously, the same Juan Mata who couldn't get a game under Mourinho last season, the same Mata who lost his place to Oscar and Willian and was indirectly replaced with Mohamed Salah and Andre Schurrle. Mata was a threat from a dead ball, but the deadliest in the EPL...hardly. He's scored 3 set pieces since joining United, and I can only remember a few from his time in west London. He's a magnificent corner taker and has some devilish curve and dip when setting up others, but deadliest implies he is a regular goal-scoring threat. By this logic, David Luiz is a deadly free-kick taker, and his balls are regularly discovered by International Space Station astronauts during regular space walks.

Just on the Chelsea squad alone there are more deadly free-kick options. Oscar has proven he has quite an eye for goal from a dead ball, and Cesc Fabregas is always deadly from an assist standpoint. Around the league, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard are obviously dangerous, and if you put on throwback hats, Manchester United legends Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham are obviously a threat. There are other options as well. Despite his recent regression, Sebastian Larsson is still a danger, and Leighton Baines of Everton can make a dead ball talk.

The underlying point here is that...well...lol.

Who are your most deadly free kick takers from the last 14 years in the Premier League?
