I feel like he has some traits well suited to the type of football we want to be playing. He's powerful, great in the air, passes well, links up well, holds up play, is good with both feet and has a hell of a shot from long range. His speed would not be a problem against the type of team we've had trouble with this season: the ones that hang back. At the same time, his long shot (which is a bullet - see Swansea's home game at Man City; before the one that finally went in he prompted 3 ridiculous saves from Hart), his beastly aerial ability, willingness to pop off a shot and his work in tight spaces would help "open the gate" against these teams.
All this talk about Costa when he's good at the counter attacking play we're trying to avoid. This was covered in great detail in a previous post.
I like the idea of getting someone who isn't a finished product, and watching them turn into beasts rather than buy up the biggest names available.
This is my first post on here. Cheers, looking forward to hearing your opinions.
