Am I the only one not buying the reports that we will have to sell a significant amount of players to buy players this summer due to FFP regulations? While I believe that we may have to sell some players (mainly players that should go anyways) If we want to have a large summer I don't believe we absolutely have to have a fire sale or sell Eden Hazard and/or Oscar.
For this season our tv revenue from just the premier league will go up significantly (the 20th placed team will have a minimum increase of 14 million pounds), our kit deal with Adidas is worth 30 million a year, we've made some money off of transfers (offset by transfer costs for other players), deal with Samsung for kit sponsorship worth around 17mil for this season, match day revenue, also getting much more Champions League revenue as we're making a deep push this year, all other commercial deals, product revenue (kits and the like).
With all that money coming in this season that wasn't in our revenue for last season I don't think it's entirely safe to assume that we will have to buy to sell on a 1:1 basis. While I do think we will sell some players (more for convenience than necessity) to further our war chest I don't think we have to sell Oscar/Hazard to buy any big name players or two big name players.
