Chelsea are not favourites to win the Premier League title. Having to go to Anfield against a very good Liverpool side and win, which seems like the only way we finish in first right now, is not exactly an easy path. But thanks to Sunderland's heroics at the Etihad Stadium today, our destiny is back in our own hands.
Manchester City began today with 70 points from 32 games, which meant that their maximum possible point tally was 88. But after this late equaliser from Connor Wickham...
... and then an even later second goal from Wickham...
...their maximum is now 86 (Nasri grabbed a goal in the dying stages). Chelsea's is 87, and if we get that by beating Liverpool, we're guaranteed a title win. Four more games. It won't be easy, but our Premier League destiny is in our hands. Thanks to Gus Poyet's boys, Manchester City are now an afterthought. Cheers, Roker Report. For the draw and the .gifs.
