You'll notice that the video contains exactly one highlight for Belarus and a barrage of shots from France; apparently it was one of those Chelsea-specials where the home side dominated yet failed to put away their chances. And in a rather John Terry-esque manner, the captain of France U21 popped up in injury time to score the match winner. Though no dubious goals panel will take this one away form him!
Belarus hardly posed a threat - befitting a side rock bottom of their Euro U21 qualification group - but it's nice to see that Zouma already looks the part for continuing our tradition of goal-scoring center backs. Wearing the captain's armband despite being the second-youngest member of the squad is equally impressive.
With the win, ever-talented* France U21 remain perfect in qualifying for next summer's Euro U21 Championship in the Czech Republic and need just one point from their two remaining matches (coming up in September) to ensure automatic qualification.
* Here's just a quick selection of names to impress you friends: Pogba, Varane, Kondogbia, Thauvin, Imbula, Sanogo, Niang, and of course Zouma.
