Good news: The official site is reporting that Fernando Torres is back in training after missing nearly a month with a knee problem. The striker sustained the injury during January's emphatic 3-1 win against Manchester United, leaving Chelsea will just Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o to lead the line over the last few weeks. We've scored twice in three games in that time.
Torres' injury came just after it looked as though the ex-Liverpool man was finally hitting a decent run of form -- he'd scored in both matches prior to his injury -- hopefully the extended layoff doesn't put him back to square one. No matter, what, though, it's pretty clear that Chelsea need as many bodies at centre forward as possible as we head back into the fixture-rich portion of our schedule.
But beyond just being a body, some goals would be nice. Please score some, Fernando?
