Good news and bad news from Jose Mourinho's press conference today. The good news is tentative at best, so we'll lead off with that: Diego Costa has an outside chance of featuring against Manchester United and their merry band of pseudo-defenders at Old Trafford this weekend:
Mourinho: "Diego Costa has a chance, a little chance."
— Miguel Delaney (@MiguelDelaney) October 24, 2014
Costa has been training individually but not yet with the team, and the manager confirmed that his recovery process has indeed been hampered by a visit to hospital with a viral infection. So while it's good that he might start ... well, this is the faintest glimmering of hope. So now the bad news:
Jose says he expects Loic Remy to be out for around two weeks. #CFC

I mean, I guess it could be worse -- a longer term injury would really have had us in trouble here -- but still, losing Loic Rémy for what looks like a trio of important away games (United, Maribor and possibly Liverpool) is not great. That goal this week proved pretty costly in the end.
Anyway, fingers crossed for Costa. I don't want another 90 minutes of André Schürrle leading the line at Old Trafford
