I think Lewandowski as a target is a very realistic prospect . He fits the profile that is required to play as a striker in a team that plays our philosophy of football , he is very good at link up play and very comfortable on the ball .
I keep hearing Mourinho saying that our set of strikers are not the profile that's best for our philosophy and I , and many of you completely agree with this , our strikers are suited to a team that lies deep and absorbs pressure instead of pressuring the opponent , that way the striker has 2 defenders on him in the middle of the pitch with bags of space in behind them , so naturally they scored more in their previous clubs . Ba at Newcastle was scoring for fun before he joined us . Back on track now , if i know all of this sh!t , Mou knows it much better than i do.
Now , as you all know Lewandowski's contract expires in the summer , and in this transfer windows he can agree a pre-contract with any non-german club .
"Next year Chelsea will have a phenomenal team, between the work we are doing and evolution of the players and a couple of clinical signings – two clinical players to complete the puzzle you are building – Chelsea next season will have a very good team."
Mourinho , pre-Arsenal
"I am happy with them and there will be no new strikers in January as we trust these guys and we go with them, they show ability, initiative, almost score goals, I am happy with them. They are not the kind of players who will score every weekend, or 30 goals a season. But they are giving everything they have."
Mourinho , pre-Southampton
Technically , Lewandowski would be a summer transfer if we were to agree a contract , as he can't complete his move until then .
Lewandowski and free transfer in one sentence is too hard to resist , and I have no doubt that Mourinho will try to convince him , but the real question is , is his head set for Bayern ? I still have hope . One can dream , right ?
