Monday Night Football / Lukaku Watch / Open Thread

Richard Heathcote

The last of the undefeateds tries to stem the French invasion.

Tonight, in fair Liverpool.

And it's live!

In reality, only two points separate Everton (8th) and Newcastle United (16th).  Yet it feels more like twenty.  With a win, Everton would jump above Chelsea into fourth, while Newcastle could move as high as 7th if they grab the unlikely away points.

Our main interest will probably be Romelu Lukaku, who scored the winner last weekend for Roberto Martinez's side and was rewarded with a start in the midweek cup defeat at Fulham.  Even if the big man doesn't start, he will surely make an appearance at some point.  Something to look forward to then.
