Newcastle vs. Chelsea: Second Half Thread

Shaun Botterill

Sloppy, greasy, blustery conditions do not make for an excellent game usually and it hasn't exactly been scintillating entertainment here either.

Newcastle, the home team, have sat back and looked to counter, while Chelsea have had to stay patient and look to grind their way through the 11-men behind the ball.

On a few occasions, we've created half-chances - mostly through Eden Hazard - but a telling final ball has yet to make an appearance.  We have hit the bar once - John Terry from Mata's corner - and Newcastle have had to clear off the line once as well - John Terry from Lampard's corner.

So goalless it is after 45.  Time to turn it up a bit for the next 45 then.
