Azpi Ivan Cahill Bertrand
Hazard Mata Schurrle
This is a Chelsea team that I think would truly flourish given time.
Our GK- Cech because he's Cech.
Defenders- Azpi because he's a natural fullback, pacier than Ivan and good in attack, I heard he's a pretty good defender too. Ivan and Cahill because they could really cause our opponent's attackers trouble. Bertand because we need to start phasing out Cole and I personally thought his performance against Cardiff was exceptional, arguably better than Cole's season so far.
Our CM/DMs- Ramires because he's exceptional yet extremely underrated, he deserves more respect and his chipping goals are one of kind. Oscar because I really think this would be his best positon given his instinct for dropping back defensively and his box to box style of play. He could also be the new Lampard with his eye for goal.
Our 3 AMs- Hazard as RAM, Mata as CAM and Schurrle as LAM. I for one can't truly see Mata being his best on the wing when we have better players for those positions. Mata is or should be our playmaker, he truly is an exceptional player and him like Oscar is a waste on the wings. Hazard and Schurrle could really play either wing, Personally, I would like to see Schurrle on the left based on his performances for Germany and his long shot skill, especially when he's truly settled and Hazard on the right because I think he has great left foot and under Mourinho all is possible. I also believe our 3 AMs should not be static but interchange to constantly keep defender's on their toes.
And now for striker, I am still holding unto shred's of hope and Mourinho's return, but I think Torres is the man for the job, his performance in the Confederations Cup was great, golden boot winner too. His performances against Bayern and Tottenham also let my imagination run loose but I think this could be Torres' year and yes I know that has been said countless times for the past years, but I think he finally knows that. I wish he always knew that, but with Lukaku creeping up and Eto'o scoring his first premier league goal, I think Torres needs to and will rise to the occasion, again my hopes, but I hope they become a reality.
As for David Luiz and De Bruyne, which questions could arise, I think they should be tried in the pivot too, with De Bruyne AND Oscar making appearances in the AMs as well.
This is just my view and it may not be right, so leave comments and discuss what you truly believe is Chelsea's best XI. Feel free to make any changes, you see fit.
