Sky Sports Claims Van Persie to Man Utd Gaining Momentum

Two sources are stating that it seems Van Persie to Man Utd is gaining momentum. First Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri tweeted: "Robin Van Persie informed Juventus via a phone talk that negotiations between him and Manchester United are on advanced stage". Then, Sky Sports claims that senior Man Utd players believe Van Persie will be joining the club very shortly.

I don't like this at all. I hope this is just nonsense because the last I heard was RVP liked the moves Arsenal were making and was leaning towards staying. If he were to leave, it would be outside the EPL, not to a rival team and Arsenal were even offering Juventus a discount, whereas they were asking more from Man Utd and Man City. However, with Sir Alex extremely angry at how the club has failed to make any significant signings outside of Shinji Kagawa (he really wanted Lucas and now he's gone), making a hard push to get RVP does not seem outside the realm of possibility.

Quote from Sir Alex regarding this situation: "We have to persevere. Hopefully it comes our way."
