Archange Nkumu heads out on loan

We've seen a number of Chelsea youngsters head to Yeovil Town recently to gain some 1st team experience, and Archange Nkumu will be the latest name to add to that list. The BBC is reporting that Nkumu will be joining Yeovil on a one month loan beginning immediately. They also had some quotes from the manager talking about young Nkumu:

He's a young lad with lots of potential, we need a bit of cover in central defense and midfield so if one person can do both jobs then that's good.

I think Chelsea would give us a little bit longer to look at him if needed. He's only young and we're going on our gut feeling that if he's needed in the starting XI then he could handle it.

It's always nice to see these kids get a chance to prove what they can do. From the sounds of it, if Nkumu impresses he may get an extended shot. Nkumu is joining teammate Rohan Ince at Yeovil, and we'll all be wishing the pair the best of luck. Hopefully we'll have something to report on the pair in this week's roundup, we'll certainly be watching closely.
