Sure, silly season is far from wrapped up and there's bound to be at least another major signing, but isn't it always a joy to speculate about which team the manager is going to send out on match day 1? This is of course a rhetorical question, but seeing as this is my first post on WAGNH I feel I need to clarify for future reference. Yes, is the answer to my rhetorical question. Oh dear.
The squad, as it is today, is certainly capable of challenging City and United. I just have to mention how frustratingly irritating it is that each and every pre-season I predict that United are finally set for an inevitable decline. This pre-season is no exception. And yes, yes, I know this prediction will come back and bite me in the arse as it has done every year. Without fail. So I've finally come to the understanding that this prediction is in fact not a prediction, but rather, wishful thinking.
City on the other hand, well, truth be told I haven't yet developed a neurotic fear of them. I don't really feel that they won the title. Not that my feelings matter to those who do feel it. And then there's Spurs. I shudder at the thought of AVB beating us. Liverpool... no. No worries there. Arsenal deserve a mention I suppose. And there you have it, I mentioned them. Fly away RVP, far away to the mediterranean and don't come back.
Now to the point I had in mind when I set out writing this jargon:
Brana Luiz Terry Cole
Ramires Hazard Mata
Subs: Turnbull, Cahill, Bertrand, Romeu, Marin, Sturridge, Lukaku
Any suggestions, or pure retaliation perhaps? And let's have this include only current members of the squad. No babbling about prospective signings, etc.
