Honestly I think we should play counter attacking football.
How it would work:
We should always try to make an attack but be prepared for a counter-attack. I think it would be the best for torres to. Try to pull the opposition to a high defensive line, then wait for either hazard, mata, or oscar to make a through ball for Nando. That's all our No. 9 really needs is a good through ball and he can do the rest. It works with him at Chelsea and in Spain. It worked against Seattle too. We scored 4 goals against seattle from counter attacks. We played the ticka-ticka against AC Milan and how did that work out? We didn't score a single goal. We just have to run the counter attack since we have young fresh and fast legs that can do the job such as players like hazard, mata, oscar, and even ramires can make the run. And if you slip in a through for Torres, he'll do the rest. Also, with this our defense will be solid. I was watching our preseason and I could almost die by all the scrappy goals the oppostion scored on us. There was a scrappy goal scored against us by Seattle, PSG, MLS All-Stars, and Milan. If our defense can keep a clean sheet then we should get goals on the counter. Therefore here is a formation that we can use.
Cole Mr. Large Thighs
Terry / Cahill Luiz
With this formation we can have our back 4 and Mikel, Oscar, and Ramires back out defending. Then Hazard and Mata sort of by the half way line. And then Torres at the 3/4 mark or so. This should push there defense to a high line. Our counter attacks would start with mikel or oscar leading a nice ball for hazard or mata, then the can run up the pitch and play a nice ball for Torres or go for glory themselves. Also, with this formation there wouldn't be a problem with possesion. Oscar, and MIkel would complete 80-90% of our passes or so. And from our left side, we would have Cole and Hazard threating or we can have Marin sub in. Ramires would make run down the right with support from Ivan. There shouldn't be any flaws in this plan altogether.
