I think the Battersea bid has definitely put the cat among the pigeons. The last time we were talking about naming rights it really got ugly on another fan forum. Talk of Plastic fans, etc etc got out. So I am not in any position to judge being an overseas supporter.
From What I can gather, the local support , atleast a major chunk of them , are not too impressed with the new bid. Their fears or misgivings have been about the ability of CFC to fill a 60k seater stadium amid concerns that the ticket prices might soar, not allowing the local support and instead accommodating tourist fans. What do you guys think? Roman Abramovic so far has made some intriguing decisions relating to managerial appointments. Would this be one of his masterstrokes?
