David Hoilett

With all the talks and speculations surrounding Hulk, Hazard and Lucas, i feel that we might miss an interesting player in David Hoilett.

So lets just try and see what would David actually bring on the table for Chelsea

P.S :- I do not have sufficient resources to carry out a complete analysis of the player, so i am just gonna speak from what i have seen and the little footballing knowledge i have.

So as we all know that David Hoilett is a 21 year old Canadian footballer who so far has played for Blackburn Rovers in the PL. He is currently out of contract and is available on a free transfer(too good an opportunity to miss).

For what i have seen of him, he is a typical winger, good with his feet, good dribbling abilities and also has an eye for goal(i think thats what we are looking for).

I think he normally plays on the left wing but i think he is equally adept at playing on the other flank and as well as in the hole.

If you see his stats from the last season. he played 34 games for the Rovers starting in each of them. He scored 7 goals and provided 8 assists out of the 42 goals scored by his team during the time he was on the pitch, which means he had a part to play in 35% of the goals his team scored(pretty impressive)

Few things that work in his favour are his age, since he is relatively young at 21 and is still learning and developing, he has all the potential to become a world class player in a few years and so getting him on a free transfer is seriously too good an opportunity to let go.

He also counts as Home Grown player which is a very big advantage in shaping an overall squad.

I think few things that could work against him is his lack of experience at top level, but he is still very young and will learn to deal with it as he grows, and one other thing that anyone could complete about is his defending skills as Rovers had conceded 78 goals in the whole season, the second worst of the season but i am sure you couldn't put much blame on him for that since he is an attacking winger.

So folks, i think we should really go for him as he is already very good and could also be expected to be a starter for us if he joins and has a very bright future ahead.

What do you think guys?
