Unforunately his knee isn't jerking whilst he's writing it which we chelsea fan's enjoy so much - he doesn't say we need to purge the team, pillar individual players or demand immediate improvement. His assessment of the central defensive partnership seems very accurate though and his suggestion to bring in a more inelligent or at least pacier centre back seems a good call. Any thoughts?
Personally I think the question of Torres or Drogba may well have been answered definatively on Sunday - switching to a direct-to-centre-forward system is a good option from the bench when trailing but can't fit with AVB's philosophy or the short, quick passing which is practiced in training. I think we'll see a lot more Fernando from now on
