The first hardware of the season was picked up Friday when a fine selection of our boys captured the Milk Cup. A decisive 3-0 win over Mexican club Cruz Azul capped a wonderful run through Junior Section of the prestigious youth tournament. It represents the club's first ever trophy in this competition.
That's Miss Northern Ireland on the left. Yum.
A pair of wonder goals from Reece Mitchell and John Swift handed the Chels an early advantage. And that, for the most part, say was that. Mitchell's opener, a wonderful bicycle from a Swift cross, was his fourth goal of the tournament. Swift, meanwhile, dazzled the entire competition.
Well done, lads.
